Jed Z. Buchwald

Jed Zachary Buchwald is an American historian of science. He currently serves as the named chair Doris and Henry Dreyfuss Professor of History at Caltech. He was previously director of the Dibner Institute for the History of Science and Technology at MIT. He won a MacArthur Fellowship in 1995, was elected to the American Philosophical Society and to be a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2011, and was awarded the 2023 Koyré Medal.
