The Twentieth Century

"A host of internationally renowned scholars offer their theological assessment of our contemporary history. Rather than a straightforward history of twentieth-century theology, the authors instead explore the interrelationship between theology and such historical landmarks as World War I, the Russian Revolution, the Great Depression, the rise of fascism, and the Holocaust.

They also examine some of the trends and movements of this century - globalization, the women's movement, and ecology - that have shaped the face of theology on the eve of the twenty-first century."--BOOK JACKET.
