World who is who and does what in environment & conservation

This pioneering Who is Who provides an unrivalled source of concise information on the major figures in environment and conservation. It contains biographical listings of 1,300 individuals worldwide, chosen as a result of several years' research and data gathering based on Professor Nicholas Polunin's lifelong involvement in the field and the recommendations of IUCN (The World Conservation Union), WWF International, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other concerned bodies.

Each biography has been prepared from detailed responses to an extensive questionnaire, and sets out the individual's qualifications and affiliations, academic background and work experience, achievements and awards, and specialist interests and publications. Details are also given of entrants' specialist expertise and language abilities, and their willingness to be contacted for advice or by the media or to act as referees or consultants.

Full addresses with telephone and fax numbers are provided. Cross-referenced indexes list entrants by speciality and by country or major state, so that users can readily identify individuals in any given field and in any geographical location.
