Babylonian Life and History

Despite the span of thousands of years, the myths and traditions of the ancient Babylonian civilization continue to reverberate in the modern word. In Babylonian Life and History, E.A. Wallis Budge explores the historical realities and mythology of Ancient Babylon. Drawn from a multitude of primary and secondary sources, this survey introduces the reader to the political, religious and intellectual foundations of the Babylonian people and their society. Originally published in 1884 as part of the By-Paths of Bible Knowledge series for the Religious Tract Society, this edition also includes numerous illustrations of Babylonian artifacts and a review of the major contemporary archeological excavations of the region.
