The Pattern of God's Truth

All truth is of God is what Dr. Gaebelein called the "master principle of all education." In this succinct volume, which complements the other works of the author such as Education in a Democracy (ACSI, 1995), the emphasis is on the unity of truth in God. The Pattern of God's Truth sets forth, in principle and example, the essential premise that all teaching is built on the presuppositions of the teachers, and if these presuppositions have no unifying constant then education becomes whimsical and inconsistent. Some in Christian education have succumbed to this dichotomous pattern of inconsistent application of the philosophy to the everyday issues of school life. The core issue of the Christian school is how thoroughly and pervasively is the total institution, in its every aspect, living out God's truth. - Back cover.
