Georg Jensen

The preeminent luxury silver brand in the world, Georg Jensen is the essence of Danish design and craftsmanship. Founded in 1904, Georg Jensen has a deep heritage in high-end silversmithing that represents timeless design and enduring style. The eponymous founder was trained as an artist at the turn of the twentieth century, and his jewelry designs in the art nouveau style won immediate acclaim. Jensen was the first design company to reach out to outside designers to ensure the best designed products in their ever-expanding lines, which include sterling silver cutlery, jewelry, watches, and housewares. Arne Jacobsen, Henning Koppel, and Nanna Ditzel are just a few of the names synonymous with Danish Modern who designed their best products for Jensen. That tradition continues today with celebrated designers such as Jean Nouvel and Ilse Crawford. With beautiful historic photographs and drawings from Jensen's extensive archive, which display the incredible craftsmanship and technical innovations of the highly skilled silversmiths, Georg Jensen is a sumptuous visual celebration of Danish design.
