A Collection of Classic Travel Narratives

The author is a retired civil engineer, who was in 30 countries on company business, specialising in dams and tunnels. The Collection contains journeys by thirty four travellers from the 13th to the 19th centuries, mainly chosen for their racy accounts of the dangers and unusual customs found in remote places little known to Europeans at the time.
