Chinese myths & legends

The retelling of seven ancient Chinese myths, placing them in context of their time and place in the world. One of them is about Kui, who was thought to be very ugly, but looks aren't everything . He was a great scholar and became a god, and is believed to help students today. To aid children, brief biographies of the heroes, villains and gods who appear in the tales are given. The atmospheric illustrations are intended to transport children to a fantasy kingdom of larger-than-life mighty gods and beautiful princesses.
