Arnold Bennett was a British author and journalist. Bennett was a prolific writer in many genres. Some of Bennett's most famous works include the self-help book How to Live on 24 Hours a Day and novels such as The Old Wives' Tale, and Anna of the Five Towns.The Matador of the Five Towns is a collection of short stories centering around the fictional towns based off the Potteries district where Bennett was born.
