La comunidad armada rebelde y el EZLN

Studies roots of 1994 Zapatista uprising from standpoint of communities that supported it. Compares social and political history of indigenous tribes of Selva Lacandona and contrasts actions of rebel groups with those who pursued peaceful resistance and struggle. Considers relationships between rebel leadership and support bases, between Zapatistas and other forces in region, and presence of EZLN within larger context of peasant and indigenous struggle. Originally published in 2007, this edition has been extensively corrected and includes three new chapters and postscript.
