The Adventures of Lt. Col. Jay David, Space Dandy

In a future where humanity gets a clean slate in a brand-new solar system, one loyal envoy is sent planet-hopping to keep the peace—only to discover the system might be unraveling faster than he can hold it together. Strait-laced Jay David is sure about one thing: the preservation of the Charterist empire is the only way to safeguard the citizens of the Seti solar system from the pitfalls of their progenitors. To that end, he’s worked tirelessly for nearly a decade, deftly signing prefab countries to the Charterist mandate on the three inner planets, all the while dreaming about his fabulous someday civilian clothes. On the eve of his transition out of civil service, he’s offered the assignment of a lifetime: voyage to the outer planets of the System, orchestrate their signing, and facilitate collective terms for all the Charterist countries. The timing is no accident–after only 600 years of habitation, Seti’s carefully planned political structure is starting to crack, and Jay suspects certain alarming events of late aren’t as random as they appear. His devotion to the System’s welfare leaves him little choice but to start packing. But things are different out-System, and Jay’s insulated life hasn’t prepared him for the danger, intrigue, and romance he encounters as tensions mount across the System, and signs emerge of a far-reaching conspiracy. What does a gentleman do when his innermost beliefs are challenged? When doing the right thing becomes a moving target? When he’s forced to change his entire wardrobe in the middle of it all? Jay’s about to find out… Buckle up for a pop space adventure packed with politics, fashion, and unexpected connections.
