50 Years of the Gibson Les Paul

"Les Paul himself was the most famous guitarist in America in the early 1950s, and his endorsement of Gibson's radical new solid body model was important to its initial success. Now the Gibson Les Paul is one of the most famous electric guitars in the world, and this book explains exactly how that fame grew as players discovered the devastating sonic potential hidden away in an apparently polite 1950s design.".

"Unique colour photographs feature a multitude of luscious Les Paul models and highlight the great players in action with their Les Paul guitars. Meticulous listings for the collector document every Gibson Les Paul model produced from 1952 to the present day. 50 Years Of The Gibson Les Paul is an examination of six decades of great guitars and the fine musicians inspired to play them."--BOOK JACKET.
